ANOTHER HAT-TRICK BY ODAFA:COUNTDOWN TO DERBY BEGINS
This afternoon,Mohun Baganfaced Prayag United at the Kalyani stadium,for the replay of the match which was abandoned due to bad light earlier this week. This was the “Do-or-Die” match every Mohun Bagan supporter was to looking forward to. It was also the only match for the Mariners just before the derby which will be held on the 23rd of this month. Before the match,the league table was evenly poised and so the Mariners had no option other than winning today’s match to keep their hopes for the trophy alive.

The past few days have probably been the darkest in recent times for Indian Sports.From cricket to football- the scenario is same. Indian Sports are now reaching new ‘heights’ which are only pushing us backwards! Indian cricket is shaken after the IPL spot-fixing scandal.Coincidentally Indian football is going through an equally horrible phase. In World football,there have been only a few instances where a football match has been abandoned due to bad light.But in India,more specifically in Kolkata,at this time,when we are aiming to qualify for the next World Cup, the ‘rarest’ of incidents is not so rare!
